Choose a microphone and input channel for each participant. Start capture to see input levels. For multiple independent microphones, measure background sound and let each participant speak alone near their microphone for five seconds to calibrate. Recalibrate after changing placement or gain. Use headphones for live output.

Save captions with a title, then open them from saved history. Optional iCloud synchronization requires the same Apple Account and iCloud Drive on your devices. KF transcription mixer turns speech from the built-in microphone on your iPhone or iPad into readable live captions for one conversation. Choose a spoken language, then use Start and Stop.

Adjust caption text from 100% to 200%, with support for the device text size. Add small kana reading guides above Japanese kanji. Tap caption text to edit the original.

Use Apple Translation to show the original and translation together. Turning translation on in the normal orientation sets English as the spoken language and your previously selected spoken language as the target. While translating, Rotate 180° swaps the spoken and target languages. Unsupported combinations show an explanation and offer display-only rotation.

Choose Narrow or Wide pickup on the main screen. This changes the directivity of supported built-in microphones. Devices that do not support the selected pattern keep the current pickup setting. It does not set a recording distance or fully separate speakers.

Use the gear menu to edit the title, text size and reading guides. Save captions with a title on your device, then tap a saved item to open it. Edit saved originals, update translations and delete histories. Optionally enable iCloud Drive synchronization for saved captions.

You can listen through the built-in speaker or a supported Bluetooth or wired output while keeping the built-in microphone as the input. Active transcription can continue while switching apps or locking the screen. Tap Stop to end it.

Speech recognition runs on device when the language supports it. Otherwise, with speech-recognition permission, audio is sent to Apple and an internet connection is required. Initial recognition and translation language downloads may need internet access. Recognition, translation and reading guides can contain errors.

The developer does not receive your audio or captions. There are no ads, tracking, analytics or app-specific accounts. Optional iCloud sync uses your Apple Account and iCloud Drive. The interface supports 50 languages and regions.
