Privacy Policy
The app does not send audio, captions, participant information or settings to the developer. It does not use advertising, tracking or analytics. Microphone access is used for input monitoring, calibration, audio processing and captions.
Supported languages use on-device Apple speech recognition. For languages unavailable on-device, microphone audio is sent to Apple with speech recognition permission. An internet connection is required. Language assets for recognition and translation may need an initial download.
Settings, dictionaries and saved captions can remain on your Mac. Optional iCloud Drive synchronization stores saved captions and dictionary data in your Apple Account for synchronization across your devices. Live audio, recordings and ongoing unsaved captions are not synchronized. iCloud synchronization can be disabled in the app. Offline changes can synchronize when the connection returns.
Recording is optional and saves processed WAV audio to a folder you select. Delete recordings in Finder and saved captions or dictionary words in the app. Change microphone and speech recognition permissions in System Settings. The app requires no separate account; iCloud uses your Apple Account and iCloud Drive.

Choose on-device (default) or external speech recognition in Settings. On-device recognition processes speech on your device and does not automatically switch to external recognition. External recognition may send audio to Apple with your permission and requires an internet connection. Downloading language data for recognition or translation for the first time may require internet access. Speech recognition results, translated text and phonetic annotations can be inaccurate.
The developer does not receive your audio or captions. There are no ads, tracking, analytics or app-specific accounts. Optional iCloud sync uses your Apple Account and iCloud Drive. The interface supports 50 languages and regions.
